United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)

The Digital Inclusion & Reintegration Program is an initiative designed to support the rehabilitation and social reintegration of youth in social welfare and juvenile care institutions in Egypt. The program addresses critical gaps in access to future-oriented skills by introducing digital literacy, coding, and artificial intelligence training to children and adolescents exposed to risk, deprived of parental care, or in conflict with the law.

Implemented in collaboration with national and international partners, DIRP equips participants with practical digital skills, confidence, and alternative career pathways—including remote and freelance opportunities—contributing to reduced recidivism and improved employability. The program is structured to operate within the constraints of care institutions while laying the foundation for long-term reintegration into society and the digital economy.
